Reflex Yoga 200hr Teacher Training

Reflex Yoga is a healing practice that combines movements that rehabilitate the primitive reflex system.  Held and supported by a strong and stable Hatha/Kashmir Yoga flow, it does this naturally and easily through rhythmic Neuro-Sensory movements. This new technique is a style of Yoga that targets the body-brain neurological, physical and emotional connections and is unique in its field.

Origins of Reflex Yoga

Reflex Yoga is influenced by a rehabilitation method  called Rhythmic Movement Training made famous by Kirsten Linde. This therapeutic method has been widely available to children with any form of developmental interruption, learning difference or emotional/behavioural difficulties for many years. It has seen extremely progressive results.

Reflex Yoga has also been influenced by Eurythmy, which is a therapeutic movement modality used in the Steiner School system for remedial learning and as an art form.

Reflex Yoga also has Ball-a-vis-X method which is a rhythmic coordinative method that enhances neuro development goals using beanbags and balls.

Finally, of course, our greates influence has been the transformative power of yoga and how this works with the nervous system.

Benefits of Reflex Yoga

Accessing the root of all our neurological patterns, this fusion of restorative Yoga and Rhythmic Neuro-Sensory movements, directly targets the Body-Brain neurological, physical and emotional connections.  These connections go back to where the pattern making and pattern breaking began at fetal development and birth. Reflex Yoga helps you to release these patterns and so the body is ready to stretch and integrate. New Neurological connections are made and so new skills are formed. The mind can now be calm and can relaxed easily.

Reflex Yoga is Delivered one-on-one as a rehabilitation therapy or in small groups for a more personalised practice. Training is provided in this method through out the year.
